So I made up my mind for the ebook cover – but I picked two rather than one…
In the end I love both covers and they both offer something entirely different. The ghostly blue design had the most mass appeal judging by the comments posted in the poll, but the dangling man was very popular with people who had read the book, and some friends who live in Amsterdam. I was torn between the two but then realised that with epublishing I have the luxury of flexibility – I can run with one cover for a while, then switch to the other; or alternatively, use one cover on Amazon and another in the Apple bookstore.
Now that I have my cover(s), I will proceed with the final edit of the book and start formatting it into an ebook. My target is to publish in January once all the festive stuff is out the way.
Any thoughts on my selections? If so, please post below. Looking forward to hearing your feedback!

Well, I don’t know the story. But was intrigued by the idea of running with different covers in two different stores. Great idea. I’m just writing a piece on ebooks, so I’m interested in how this idea will work out. Have you checked out Eli Horowitz The Silent History?
The Silent History looks interesting – I’m loving how digitisation is shaking up the traditional publishing model. I would love to pitch my idea for two covers as an innovative sales policy but it’s probably more a case of indecision or indulgence on my part! I’m really enjoying the freedom of it all…

So very different and so interesting each one in its own way.
I love the red design’s promise of a entertaining story behind. But I love the mysteriousness of the foggy, Scottish-like Amsterdam….
I love both covers as well. The blue ghostly one is more aesthetic and beautful, but , havign read the book, the dangling man perfectly summarises the theme in visual form. i would still go with that one because of the stronger connection to the content. but the blue one, the floatingt canal houses ….so peaceful and serene and timeless. I’m looking forward to reading the final edit. Good luck with the last effort!
